The Devonshire Faire is celebrating it's 21st year.
What began in 1982 as a fundraiser for AAL has blossomed into one of Phoenix's finest events. In the early days, the event went from a churchyard to a small city park and named the "Coronado Renaissance Faire" After a few successful years the faire had outgrown their location and had become a respected and much anticipated event. Too large for a group of neighborhood volunteers to continue, yet too valuable for the event to terminate, the City of Phoenix, Parks & Recreation Dept. stepped in moving the faire to a larger location.

In 1988 the Faire moved to Los Olivos Park, and in 1995 became the Devonshire Renaissance Faire. (named after the street where the Faire takes place). Supported in the past by the City of Phoenix Parks Recreation & Library Dept. - Central District East Zone, and the Los Olivos Senior Center Association
In 2002. The Devonshire Renaissance Faire celebrated it's 20th Anniversary. Many things took place within the first year of it's third decade. Due to budget cuts, the City of Phoenix, Parks & Recreation Dept. , has had to limit their support to a bare minimum. The original committee regrouped along with some new members and incorporated as a Non-Profit Organization The faire is now presented to you by the Devonshire Renaissance Faire Inc. and staffed completely by a Volunteer Committee
